Press Release from Lytham St Annes Express 31 January 2013
Lytham Heritage Centre Opens its Doors After Break
Lytham Heritage Centre opens again on Tuesday after its mid-winter break – and the celebrations of Lytham Heritage Group’s 25th anniversary continue.
The Group’s successful silver anniversary exhibition, held up to early December, resumes and runs until March 3.
Original items from the Heritage Group archive cover a wide variety of subjects related to the history of the town and Alan Ashton, chairman of the Heritage Group, said: “The Heritage Group was founded by a group of Lytham citizens keen to preserve the heritage of our town and the anniversary exhibition provides a fascinating insight into the archive we have accumulated over the years.”
The exhibition opens at 10am on Tuesday and will be on show until 4pm daily except Mondays.
It is the first of a fascinating range of exhibitions, most involving local people, at the Heritage Centre this year.
